Reward of a Pilgrim who Completed Hajj

On the authority of Abu Umaamah that the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said: Whoever goes to the masjid, not desiring except to learn or teach what is good, has the reward of a pilgrim who completed hajj. [at-Tabaraani, Authentic according to Albani]

This is a bushra (good news) to those who attend the classes in our masajid, and to those who teach in our masajid that your reward is with Allah azza wa jal.

InshaAllah this post is dedicated to raising awareness to the classes in our masajid, so post them in the comments inshaAllah.

Most of you all know, but I have to promote br Safi’s classes at Dar-us-Salaam on saturdays. Alhamdulillah our brother ayunas will be posting his lectures for those who cannot make it inshaAllah on his podcast website (check the Media Library for the link). Also another great teacher in our community is Imam Karim at PGMA, many people do not know about him but he does classes every day wa lillahil hamd they are also posted online (check Media Library for the link).

InshaAllah I hope this is more of an incentive to begin our study groups after Thematic Tafseer in the masajid.

Please contribute to this list of classes, so we may all receive the reward of a hajji inshaAllah!

  1. If anyone is interested in getting a weekly set of notes from brother Safi’s class, please contact me at erum9981@gmail.com

Please remember, though, that notes and audio recordings are no substiute for the real thing — I highly recommend this class for all!

  2. Imam Magid gives a bunch of classes weekly at ADAMS, but two really good ones are:
On Wednesday he is going over Patience and Gratitude by Imam Ibnul Qayyim Al-Jowziyyah (rahimahullah) from Salaaatul Maghrib until Salaatul Isha.
On Fridays he gives his weekly class from 7PM until Salaatul Isha and this past week he gave a tafseer for Suratul Kahf which was awesome, masha’Allah.
