Scholarships

Our mission is to make AlMaghrib Institute seminars affordable to every member of Qabeelat Nurayn. Scholarships are awarded to students that demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Give your financial excuse a black eye! If you need financial assistance, please apply. If you know someone who could use financial assistance, encourage them to apply.

The Process is Simple

Scholarship recipients MUST:

1. REGISTER for the intended seminar online through almaghrib.org

2. APPLY for a scholarship online (scroll down for the application form) BEFORE the DEADLINE, which is 14 days PRIOR to the start of each AlMaghrib seminar.

3. NOTIFICATION of scholarship offer will be made via email no later than 10 days PRIOR to the start of each seminar. (You may want to add scholarships.nurayn@almaghrib.org to your safe list to ensure you receive the email from us.)

4. REPLY within 2 days to inform us if you plan to accept or decline scholarship offer.

5. ALL partial payments (make checks payable to AlMaghrib Institute) MUST be received in full no later than the Friday, April 20th or the scholarship offer will be WITHDRAWN. NO EXCEPTIONS.

On-site payments or applications are not accepted.

Scholarship recipients are EXPECTED to:

1. TAKE the final examination and receive a passing grade of 75% or higher.

2. VOLUNTEER for Qabeelat Nurayn.

Application Deadline: 14 Days PRIOR to the Start of Each Seminar

The scholarship application deadline for Fiqh of Love - Marriage in Islam, is Friday, April 20th, 2012.

On-site applications or late payments (after Friday, April 20th) will NOT be accepted.

Sponsor Students of Islam

Ajr anyone? Become a sponsor and encourage other Muslims to become sponsors too! The Scholarship Committee welcomes (and encourages) sponsorships from owners of halal businesses who would like to advertise to our seminar participants. Our marketing consultants will work to ensure that every business sponsor is represented in the best way possible. And even better, AlMaghrib has an ongoing sponsorship matching program that doubles the Qabeelah sponsorship amounts! You can double your Ajr!

We are currently offering three different grants for our upcoming course. These include:

Nurayn Academic Scholarship: The student who receives the highest exam score on the previous exam will receive a full scholarship inshaAllah.
Awards Available: 1
Convert Scholarship: Know a new Muslim brother or sister who has recently accepted Islam? Nominate them for this scholarship and they could win this award! Please fill out this application.

Outstanding Youth Leader Scholarship: If you know a youth leader in your community who has sacrificed their time and energy to help their community whether it’s through civic service or involvement with the masjid, nominate them for this scholarship and they could win this award! Please fill out this application.

Winners for any and all scholarships will be notified via email at least 3 weeks prior to the class.
